It started on a sun-drenched morning in Jamaica. Jon and Deb Jaggers were on a cruise—one of those once-in-a-lifetime trips that ends up changing everything. As they wandered through the hillsides of Jamaica, they were handed a cup of something that seemed, at first, ordinary. But the moment that first sip of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee touched their lips, they looked at each other and knew: This was different.

It wasn’t just coffee. It was comfort, memory, connection—home, in a cup.

That moment planted a seed. And years later, after decades of raising two remarkable sons and cultivating a life full of love and laughter, Jon and Deb decided it was time. Time to create something of their own. Something meaningful. Something they could share with others the way they share it around their own kitchen table.

So they launched Jaggers Coffee Express—a specialty coffee store built not just on flavor, but on family.

Coffee with Character—And Characters to Match

At the heart of this brand is a real family with real stories.

Their 24-year-old son, driven and determined, flew through college in just three years and is now carving his own path. Their youngest is a 19-year-old engineering student at UTSA who powers through study sessions with mugs of bold espresso at his side. Deb’s 94-year-old mother still lives with them, starting her day with a warm cup and a good story. Jon’s 101-year-old grandmother? Sharp as ever and fiercely loyal to the Jaggers’ signature breakfast blend. And Jon’s dad—86 and full of grit—won’t drink anything but the rugged, Texas-born Lone Star Lasso roast.

From brunches to birthdays, coffee flows like conversation in the Jaggers household. And that spirit—one of togetherness, love, and laughter—is infused into every roast they offer.
